GENERAL GUIDELINES

The International Journal of Queer Ministry require from Contributors an emailed attachment in Microsoft Word format or Rich Text Format.

1. A short abstract of 50-150 words should be supplied with your article and up to four to six keywords arranged in alphabetical order.

2. All academic articles will be refereed and should normally be 2000 - 5000 words in length.

3. Sermons, or liturgies may be of any length up to this limit. If your resource is in presentation form, it should be submitted in Powerpoint format.

4. As this is an international journal, you may of course, write in any language. If this language is not English, French, German or Spanish, we would request that you also provide a translation into one of these languages.

5. In general, words and phrases of a language foreign to that with which you are writing should be italicised, both in main text and footnotes.

6. Contributors from North America may use North American spelling and punctuation.

7. Authors of articles and book reviews will be emailed a first proof of any editorial alterations to their work, should these be necessary, and will normally be expected to approve these within two weeks of receipt.

Corrections should be confined to typographical errors or to specific questions raised by the editors.

8. Upon approval of your submission, you agree to assigning copyright for this publication to the International Journal of Queer Ministry. You agree not to use the academic article elsewhere without acknowledging its prior publication in the IJQM. No such agreement is required for resource contributions, such as sermons, liturgies etc.

9. Please always strive to use inclusive language whether possible. We do however acknowledge that this is more common a practice in some parts of the world than others, and will not penalise a writer for appropriate use of their own vocabulary.

10. Please use Harvard or Chicago referencing systems.
