Diversity is a gift from God. It is our job to transform and renew our minds to appreciate diversity. We can not be conformed to this world, which oppresses, yokes, and burdens all things good. Let us not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

I'm releasing this Fasting Guide just in time for Lenten season & Ramadan! I pray God designs the perfect fast to bring your highest good. There's a note on the doc, but I'd like to add a tiny disclaimer. I know the Bible has been used as a weapon, but I hope to reclaim the Love, Community, and Joy within those words. I know scripture has been used to try and convert people, but that's not my goal! Please use your discernment when planning your fast. Be blessed! Instead of honoring diversity, we often demonize it. Because we desire to be good people, we cope by saying "that's just THEIR opinion. I politely agree to disagree."
Meanwhile, our hearts are anything but kind. We are othering someone based on things we do not fully understand. When your mind tries to play the "us" and "them" game, recognize you may be othering based on bias. If you are, there is spiritual healing to be done. You Can... - be charitable - show love all the time - have pure intentions - have a diverse community - be asking a genuine question - be a partner, parent, friend, sibling - be an activist, social worker, teacher, journalist, healthcare provider ...And Still Commit Harm Goodness Does Not Negate Harm
Our value is not on how perfect we pretend to be, but by how sincerely we can correct our mistakes. Love is not perfect. Love is kind. Love rejoices in the truth. Love does not insist on its own way When confronted with your harm, resist the urge to view harm as a matter of opinion. Resist speaking on how hard it is to be held accountable. Speaking up against harm is already difficult, especially when it is from a loved one. Being harmed is always worse. Sometimes we be right & still not moving righteously.
Sometimes by following rightness, we lose touch of righteousness & Divine Timing. Key differences can show up in ~ tone ~ ~ context ~ ~ fairness ~ ~ grace ~ ~ protection ~ ~ reception ~ Our true words and pure actions can be used in devious plots to undermine our character & distort our reputation. Watch your words. Know when to speak. Don't let opps find cover behind your quickness to speak, especially when you are right. Transphobia is a disease of the Spirit.
Praying that we usher in Healing of transphobia inflicted against ourselves and others. Praying that we Heal collectively, spiritually, politically, mentally, in our words, thoughts, and deeds. Amen. #RamadanMubarak ☪️ March 11, 2023
The moment consent is broken is the moment something other than God is at hand. The realm of broken consent includes things we may pretend are not extreme. In truth, all acts of broken consent lead to death of spirit, joy, truth, justice, love… Society desensitizes our consent alarms. We are taught to ignore our bodies and spirits. The failure to teach this is intentional. Consent isn't taught often, because then we would act in our Divine Authority over this realm. We have spiritual Authority over the realm of broken consent. To be clear, broken consent is never the victim's fault. The point is, consent has been heavily neglected in our communities as a whole (religious spaces included). March 8, 2023
As Jesus got closer to his ultimate test, his friendships became brittle. The very people he kept close to him, the ones that saw his miracles up front, and even watched the heavens part...Those same friends slept while he prayed over his life. They deserted him. They denied him. They betrayed him. What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grieves to bear... We should consider how we can be better friends to Jesus. How can we pour into people doing Divine work? How can we sacrifice for those whose constant sacrifices go unnoticed? March 1, 2023
Jesus says this to remind us that a Divine Invitation still takes Love to be fulfilled. Having children is not the same as Parenting. Having a congregation is not the same as Preaching. Having students is not the same as Teaching. |
